It’s important to me that I work with clients as a team while providing a safe, non-judgmental space as they share their broken past, present struggles and future hopes. While my style has been described as warm and empathetic, I’m not shy about gently challenging my clients to go deeper by asking questions that can help get to the root of their struggles. In other words, I strive to help clients gain not merely insight, which can be freeing at first, but more importantly a genuine desire to change from within.

I have a special bent toward helping those whose lives have been significantly shaped by their trauma and other distressing events. I utilize a wide range of mindfulness based practices, such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an extensively researched form of therapy that has helped countless individuals to make breakthroughs. I am a EMDR certified practitioner, and it is my passion to continue expanding my expertise by attending relevant trainings such as Flash and EMDR on chronic pain.

Another therapeutic approach that I may utilize is the integration of one’s Christian faith that can allow therapy to be more effective, which is something I myself have experienced in my own healing journey. But I welcome those from other faith backgrounds and completely respect those who wish to leave their faith at the door.
